As you can see the weather is pretty wet. It mostly just rains a little in the morning and then in the afternoon it's usually not so bad. Sunshine doesn't happen to often but I'll take mostly cloudy over snowy any day! The temperature is usually between 35 and 40 degrees F (or between 2 and 5 degrees C as they say over here) which is much better than I expected.
Below is a picture of the view from my flat. Not bad huh? In the left corner is the The William Wallace Monument, made famous from the movie Braveheart. The buildings in the middle are the student center and a teaching building where I will have most of my classes. Then the Airthery Loch separates the main campus from the student flats. It's a pretty small lake but very pretty and it has lots of very very large swans. They are very pretty to look at but are very loud!
Tomorrow classes start! It will be interesting to see what the teaching style is like and how much different it is from the states. I just hope I can understand my professors with that thick Scottish accent.
