Counting down the days

After months and months of planning, everything is starting to come together. Finally a payoff for the endless amounts of confusing paperwork, passport photos, meetings with advisers, orientations and trips to the bank and post office that have taken up much of the past year is actually in reach. Now that everything is mostly done I can focus on the actual trip, which is making me both really excited and nervous.


Even though I leave in 10 days and I don't think it has really hit me yet. It doesn't seem real that I will be leaving home for 4 months to go to a completely new school in a new country without knowing a single person. Because I started planning for this semester over a year ago I always told my self it was so far away and I had other things to worry about, but boy how fast a year can go! Departure is fast approaching now and I am so excited to start a crazy new chapter in my life. All there is really left to do is try to pack 4 months into 2 suitcases under 100 pounds. It will prove to be an interesting challenge I'm sure.
